International Fire, Police & Military Winter Games 6th Annual Charity Hockey Tournament, The Maine Event/Battle on Ice, will take place at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée, in Lewiston, Maine. It is scheduled for the week-end of January 15th to the 17th, with the championship round being played on Sunday.

The hockey tournament is a major fundraising event for the Shriners Hospitals for Children–Boston.

Airfare:

For airfare look at flights to the following airports: PWM, AUG, or BOS (2 hour drive but less expensive flights). Fly in on 14 Dec in time for the practice if you can (see below).

The tourney is scheduled to end by 1600 on Sunday, 17 January. Please make sure you book your travel plans accordingly.

Registration Fee:
We have paid the $1175 registration fee.

Ice time:
IMPORTANT: We have locked on 1.5 hours of ice time starting at 21:45 on Thursday, 14 Jan at the Colisee. It’ll give us a feel for the ice, and let us practice as a team for the first time. Ensure you book your flights or travel to ME so that you can make this ice time.

Chow:
Thursday Night – Gritty’s – 7:00pm ($1.00 of all beers, $2.00 of everyday bartender special drinks)

Friday Night – Pedro O’Hara’s – 6:00pm – Live entertainment and IFPMWG party, 20% discount on food/and non alcohol drinks and drink specials for athletes, and ticket holders during the tournament.

Saturday Night – Ramada Inn – Lobsterfest, from 6:00 to 9:00pm (TICKETS MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED BY 8 JANUARY 2016). $29.99 per person Twin Lobster dinner. WE ARE GOING TO TRY AND PAY THE ENTIRE COST WITH OUR GOFUNDME. OFFICERS AND SNCOs – BPT TO PAY FOR YOUR CHOW. IF YOU’RE BRINGING FAMILY, YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR TICKETS ON YOUR OWN.
